The first year of the all-new RX8 has been very exciting and successful. This all-new project presented a challenging task for Team XRAY. We introduced the RX8 to the racing world and set our sights on getting awesome results and achievements world wide including winning the Winternats, several national titles as well as being a finalist at its first Euros and Worlds.
Development at XRAY never stops, nor does our pursuit of perfection. The 2012 spec of the RX8 brings forth all the best from the RX8 platform and adds several refinements and improvements to make the already successful car even more reliable and have increased performance and handling.
- All-new narrower chassis with more cutouts is designed to provide more flex for increased steering and traction. The chassis features an increased range of different engine position adjustments to allow the fitting of all standard engines.
- All-new radio plate helps to increase traction, steering and flex which make the car easier to drive.
- All-new clutch system gives increased durability and features an all new stronger and stiffer clutchbell, yellow clutch shoe, and new flat clutch disk.
- New conical clutch washers for consistent performance.
- New front and rear arms feature integrated graphite extensions for optimized shock mounting positions.
- New narrower front lower and upper arms allow for a narrower track width to gain more steering.
- New steering blocks feature all-new graphite extensions for new optimized Ackermann positions, providing increased steering characteristics.
- New super lightweight 2-speed shaft with (5mm ID, 8mm OD) for increased durability and reliability.
